Everything is better on a full stomach. I cook when I am happy, tired, depressed, anxious, and it always makes my day better. And we always have people over, and it gives me plenty chances to keep trying out new recipes.

Cooking more of what makes me Happy!!! and the secret ingredient on the Platter is a smattering of Love added to the main ingredients!!! Was a rookie when I started out and kept myself inspired through blogs, family, friends and most important inspiration, Mum. I must admit that cooking came a-calling as early as in school where we were a fortunate lot to have had pretty well-equipped home-science labs. That spurred me on and I'm still learning new recipes, techniques, terms of the vast culinary world. So Keep Calm, put on that apron, Cook on and feed happiness galore!!! :)

People know me for my love of food. I love to cook for family and friends. I love to spoil family and friends by making special dishes and surprising them because it makes my day to see someone enjoying something that I made with love:). There's nothing quite like preparing a feast for appreciative friends, or creating a special meal for loved ones. I have no formal anything but I learnt a lot from my mum, mum in-law and grandmothers, they just dont measure anything with measuring spoons or cup measures, the skills are in their magical fingers :). The simpler the dishes the better for me, but I never compromise on taste! And I have so much more I want to share one of the great joys of cooking with all of you. Hope you all will like my food :)

Born in India and now living in Chicago. Food is celebration for me. Indian foods are not only great in taste but have a health factor related to it. Indian food and spices are not only tasty and flavorful; they also add a lot of benefits to our health. I have tried to take advantage of herbs and spices and infuse the American and Italian lcuisine. It is sort of East meets West. My dishes are easy to make and everyone can do it. Just come on and join me in my kitchen. We will have a lot fun!

I learned how to cook from experimenting. I try to record meals that turned out well, so my recipes are usually just records of my more enjoyable experiments.

This page is about my struggle to achieve world peace, maintain communal harmony and for overall happiness of humankind. And I plan to do that by putting food in your tummy. One tummy at a time.
