My favorite part of childhood trips to Grandma's house, these are the pancakes I devoured huge numbers of as a kid, and still make for brunch to this day.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
2
Cups
All-Purpose Flour
2
Teaspoons
Cream of Tartar
1
Teaspoon
Baking Soda
1⁄2
Teaspoon
Salt
2
Eggs
1 3⁄4
Cups
Milk
4
Tablespoons
Melted Butter
Preparation steps
-
1Sift Dry Ingredients
-
2Mix eggs and milk, and add to the dry ingredients.
-
3Stir in melted butter.
-
4Heat the griddle to medium heat.
-
5Pour batter onto the griddle until the pancake reaches your desired size.
-
6Bubbles will form on top of the pancake. When they pop leaving holes that don't fill with batter again, the pancake is ready to flip. The slower you cook them, the tastier they will be.
-
7They are great plain, but also great with maple syrup.
