I was going to call this a mast-ney, since it really is a hybrid between a chutney and a proper accompaniment. While at that, I have to mention that eating dried fish is an acquired taste. If you have never eaten this before, and if the foodie in you is daring enough for an adventure - try it out in extremely small portions. But I also need to warn you - once you inculcate this taste, chances are you may be compelled to cook this up, even if you need a reason only to smile! :)
It's almost a non-recipe...something I whipped up when I found there was a lot of oyster mushrooms in the fridge waiting to get rotten, and I was too lazy too chop vegetables to to make a proper dish out of it. So I chose simple ingredients and randomly added sauces and spices until it satisfied my tastebuds. I've mostly used Oriental seasonings, which means you can have this dish with fried rice, noodles or even with bread!
