What would you do when you have an inventory of dark chocolates? My answer Chocolate Truffles!!! Im not a huge fan of dar chocolate ,so I thought why not try out something else that involves them... And I got these sweet li'l truffles... Its super easy and super tasty...!!
Break the dark chocolate bar into small pieces or powder them and place in a microwave friendly bowl.
Heat the cream on slow flame, add butter, sugar, lemon zest and basil to it.Once it starts frothing remove from flame.
Sieve in the cream mixture into the bowl with chocolate and mix well.Do not beat it,just mix with a spoon.
If the mixture doesnt turn smooth you can heat it in the microwave for about a minute and allow it to cool.
Once cooled wrap the bowl with a cling wrap and refrigerate the mix overnight.
Dust a plate or a flat surface with cocoa powder. With the help of a spoon or better a melon baller scoop small portions from the ganache and roll into small balls and place on the cocoa powder.
If the ganache is very soft, then you can add a little bit more of chocolate by heating the mix and refrigerating it again .
Roll it over the powder till its properly coated. Repeat until all the ganache is used.
Keep truffles in an airtight container in fridge, but serve at room temperature.

I baked this cake for my own birthday! It fed about 10 people. It was moist and chocolate-y. Note: Don't be alarmed with the thin batter. It only makes the cake more moist. It will make a two 9" tin cakes. If you are not sure of the size of the tins, just fill the tins/pans/moulds 60% with the batter. Give some room for the cake to rise.
Buttermilk is usually used in cake recipes as it is acidic and it reacts with the baking soda creating tiny little bubbles giving you a nice tender cake. Well, red wine is also acidic, so there is my substitute. The alcohol bakes off in the high temperatures and you’re left with this fudgy delicious cake.
Chocolate is almost everybody's favorite dessert. So I thought, why not bake something so luscious and rich that one just can't refuse. The chocolate flavor blends so well with the kick of the coffee. It is super delicious cake to have ever crossed your lips.
i have made this cheesecake a dozen times, and everytime it just blows people away... i like to think of it as a small slice of heaven, where chocolate and cheesecake combine... you need a springform pan for this, not too sure if a regular cake tin will suffice. recipe coutesy: Nigella Lawson (How to be a Domestic Goddess)
As it is Diwali, we make many sweets at home or buy from stores. This is the time when we enjoy lots of variety sweets. Why don't we surprise our loved ones with this special coconut chocolate balls. Its very easy to make, no cooking involved and its really tasty and yummy. You can serve these coconut balls without dipping in the chocolate ganache. But i feel that.. with the chocolate ganache on top, makes it more yummier and tastier. More over it is a healthy sweet dish as we are using honey, cocoa and coconut.
Chocolate Ganache can be used as filling for cupcakes or a smooth top layer on frostings of cakes. You can whip it up and even use it as a frosting itself. Its creamy, decadent and delicious. You can flavor it with coffee, Rum or anything you feel like..:) For coffee flavoring use 2 teaspoons of instant coffee. !Recipe courtesy to All recipes http://...
While this recipe is very similar, I do not add salt to my version. Additionally I made this using only a microwave as I do not have a stove at my workplace. This is the ganache that I used to frost the Death by Decadent Dark Chocolate Cake.
